Cujo goodreads5/10/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I had a lot of problems with the book especially after it started out with such a good sense of terror and what was to come. It was really distracting and felt more like a galley than an actual published book. I read this book through Overdrive from my local library and somewhere during the conversion process a lot of mistakes were processed. I did have major issues with the formatting of this book. So my disparaging review is totally legit. I didn’t choose to read this novel on my own, it was the selection for our April Books into Movies library book group. I am glad I can now say I’ve read a Stephen King novel but overall it was lack-luster and disappointing. If you haven’t figured it out yet I didn’t enjoy this book. The major plus side was that it felt like a short novel. I just was not impressed and couldn’t get into the novel. ![]() One of my friends put it best, ‘So apparently Cujo is just a bad lifetime movie with a rabid dog’ and although he was referring to the movie, it pretty much sums up the book as well. ![]()

That’s just how it is in Dostoevsky’s Demons, in which a band of young nihilists and socialists unleashes murder, riot, and arson in a provincial Russian town. Bitter, sharp and angry, Rodzina isolates herself from everyone else on the train as it clatters west. ![]() Rodzina and many of the other orphans consider this change in circumstances to be a sentence to a life of slavery, and needless to say, Rodzina would rather live in an orphanage or even on the streets than face an existence in a strange place where she has to work in the fields from sun up to sun down day after day. In fact, she might even be able to change the entire world. Deka is one of them and becomes a soldier for the emperor, but she quickly realised her powers aren’t necessarily evil. They are called demons, because they cannot die and possess supernatural powers. But some women are deemed Impure, which means they bleed gold instead of normal red blood. They’re all the rage nowadays, and they all follow a clear formula. If you have always dreamed of writing bestsellers for young adults, dystopian fiction is the safe option. ![]() George barris marilyn5/9/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() When Marilyn & Barris got to Tim’s house, Barris introduced him and his maid, Louise, to Marilyn.
